820301 Allergy FOUR

Intended Use:

AESKUCARE® Allergy FOUR is an in vitro semi-quantitative enzyme immunoassay for the parallel measurement of allergen-specific human IgE antibodies to 25 allergens and allergen mixtures in heparinized or Na-EDTA blood, venous or capillary blood, plasma or serum.

The test is intended to be a point of care tool for comprehensive first line in vitro allergy diagnostics in conjunction with other clinical findings, and is to be carried out by healthcare professionals experienced in the use of in vitro diagnostic methods.

Coated Antigens:

Egg white (f1), Milk (f199), Cod (f3), Wheat (f4), Peanut (f13), Soy (f14), Celery (f85), Almond (f20), Walnut (f16), Hazelnut (f17), Tomato (f25), Apple (f49), Shrimp (f24), Carrot (f31), Potato (f35), CCD* (CCD) and Total IgE (IgE)

Fish mix (fx704)
Salmon (f41), Perch (f324), Carp (f233)

Meat (fx693)
Pork (f26), Beef (f27), Chicken (f83), Lamb (f88)

Tropical fruits (fx166)
Kiwi fruit (f84), Orange (f33)

* Cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants (CCD) are protein linked carbohydrate structures present in a wide range of allergens from plants, pollen, mollusks and insects. IgE antibodies against CCD are present in 25% of patients suffering from allergic symptoms. IgE antibodies against CCD give rise to the impression of polysensitization. As anti-CCD IgE antibodies are not allergen specific, and do not seem to be correlated with clinical symptoms, multiple positive results in combination with a positive CCD result should be interpreted carefully, and false positive results due to anti-CCD IgE antibodies should be considered.
