421413 Allergy THIRTEEN

Intended Use:

AESKUBLOTS Allergy THIRTEEN is a membrane-based enzyme immunoassay for quantitative detection of IgE-antibodies against multiple allergens and total IgE in human serum and plasma. Antigens are positioned in parallel lines at exactly defined positions on a nitrocellulose membrane.

This assay is a tool in differential diagnosis of Type I hypersensitivity (allergy).

Coated Antigens:

Dermatophogoides pteronissinus (d1), Dermatophagoides farina (d2), Cat dander (e1), Dog dander (e5), Feather mix (ex71), Bermuda grass (g2), Ryegrass (g5), London plane (t11), Poplar (t14), Ash (t25), Acacia (t19), English plantain (w9), Sheep sorrel (w18), Cladosporium herbarum (m2), Aspergillus fumigatus (m3), Alternaria alternata (m6), Egg (f74), Milk (f199), Casein (f78), Wheat (f4), Maize (f8), Rice (f9), Quinoa (f832), Peanut (f13), Soybean (f14), Banana (f29), Orange (f33), Apple (f49), Tomato (f25), Avocado (f181), Cod (f3), Fishmix (fx110), Shellfish mix (fx111), Chicken (f83), Turkey (f143), Pork (f26), Beef (f27), Cocao (f97), CCD (CCD) and total IgE (IgE) in human Serum or Plasma.

* Cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants (CCD) are protein linked carbohydrate structures present in a wide range of allergens from plants, pollen, mollusks, and insects. IgE antibodies against CCD are present in 25% of patients suffering from allergic symptoms. IgE antibodies against CCD give rise to the impression of polysensitization. Anti-CCD IgE antibodies are not allergen-specific and do not seem to be correlated with clinical symptoms. Multiple positive results in combination with a positive CCD result should be interpreted carefully, and false-positive results due to anti-CCD IgE antibodies should be considered.
